Khune remains hopeful

Bafana Bafana head coach Stuart Baxter says the Itumeleng Khune situation remains hopeful even though he and his technical team are still expecting results from the specialist. Khune was stretched off in Kaizer Chiefs TKO last 8 match with Chippa United after colliding with Kurt Lentjies on Sunday. There’s still doubt that he may be available for the back to back 2018 Fifa world cup qualifiers against Senegal on Friday night (19;00) in Polokwane. The keeper saw a specialist this morning in Johannesburg and has also asked the team to prepare a mask for him. Baxter says hopeful as he is he does not want to have high expectations.
