KIB Podcast : AIDS – yesterday, today and tomorrow

from KIB Podcast

KI Professor Anna Mia Ekström joins the KIB podcast for a conversation about the Face of AIDS Film Archive and the global HIV epidemic. "One thing that struck me when I recently went through clips from the archive is the amazing commitment of the activists," says Anna Mia, "it was young people and people living with HIV, but also mothers, researchers, doctors, Nobel laureates, monks – everyone was involved in the fight against the virus in the 80s and 90s, they really made their voices heard. We don't see that today, it's silent – and we know that silence kills."The KIB podcast is produced by Karolinska Institutet University Library. Among colleagues, sometimes with a guest, we tackle topics related to the scientific publishing landscape, research infrastructure and other issues a university library is passionate about.
