Kiddushin 73 – Jewish Peoplehood

In today’s Talmud page, Kiddushin 73, we learn that if a child is abandoned in an area where people do not tend to be, that child should be considered a foundling, while if they are left in a place where people do generally congregate, they are subject to the laws of the community, and not those of a foundling. Rabbi David Gedzelman joins us to delve deeper into the idea of Jewish peoplehood, and the many ways that peoplehood can and should be conceived of.
