Kidnapped Chapter 21 - The Heugh of Corrynakiegh

In which our travellers find refuge in a secluded mountain cleft, subsisting on the bounty of the stream and honing their skills in the simple solitude of the heather; and cunningly contrive to send a cryptic message for aid despite the perilous watchfulness of foes and uncertain friends alike. They then receive tidings of increasing danger and a reward set upon their heads, compelling them to weigh the burdens and risks of their company as they prepare once more to take to the road.
