Kids Message: Baptist Catechism 46-47--Love God, Love People

In this week's Kids Message at Harvest Liberty Lake Church, we explored how the Ten Commandments teach us to do two simple—but life-changing—things: love God and love people. Using a fun illustration with two cups, the kids learned how Jesus summarized all of God's commandments in Matthew 22:37–40: "Love the Lord your God" and "Love your neighbor as yourself." While those commands are simple to understand, they are impossible for us to obey perfectly on our own. That's why we need Jesus—the only one who perfectly loved God and perfectly loved others in every moment of His life. This short catechism-based teaching helps children (and adults!) understand both God's law and the gospel in a clear and memorable way.
