Kieran is a PhD student at University of Otago in the National Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies. After the terrorist attack in Christchurch Kieran penned an op-ed for the Otago Daily Times entitled "NZ response to violence must go beyond security" that, amongst other ideas, explained that "New Zealand must acknowledge the ways in which Islamophobia and far-right extremism exist in our society."
