Kiffin's Bold Move Sparks College Football Storm | Clemson Tigers Football News

Lane Kiffin dropped a bombshell during halftime of LSU’s dominant win over Clemson, joking that “imagine if we had pro players,” after the Tigers tried to bring in former NFLers Dae’Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris—only to face SEC backlash. A new rule now bans players with NFL contracts from college ball, forcing LSU to bench the two athletes despite their big win by 41 points. Clemson’s Dabo Swinney called it tampering and hypocrisy, slamming the system’s lack of consequences. Kiffin, unfazed and defiant, shrugged off the fallout—“everyone already hates me”—as he prepares for Louisiana Tech and Ole Miss. The controversy is just heating up.
