Killed Man Trying To Collect $200 DebtScott was collecting a $200 debt from Dillard Kennedy, 44, when an argument broke out and Scott shot Kennedy in the chest. He then kicked in the door to the bedroom where Kennedy's girlfriend was and shot her. The second shot also hit the couple's dog. A jury convicted Scott of aggravated murder, attempted murder, and other charges in May, but acquitted him of cruelty against a companion animal.
