King Coal Book 3 - The Henchmen of King Coal; Sections 15-16

In which Hal Warner confronts Percy Harrigan, the Coal King's son, persuading him to aid in the miners' rescue by opening the mine, while grappling with the burden of his double life and burgeoning conscience. As the mine’s fan begins to roar and hope flickers for the imprisoned men, Hal lies awake pondering social divides and tenderly imagining bridging the worlds of the privileged and the working class.
