King Edward the Third Act 4

In which the valiant Prince Edward, encircled by threatening enemies yet emboldened by noble counsel and unyielding spirit, faces the grim twilight of battle with resolute heart, whilst the French host waveth with fear and discord under ominous signs and prophetic dread. And further, the siege of Calais doth summon grim reckonings, where mercy and severity contend upon the scaffold of sovereignty, and proud knights and captive kings weigh honour and duty amidst the clashing fortunes of war.
