King Raam

from Rainbow Brainskull with Ramin Nazer · host Ramin Nazer

King Raam is an Iranian-born musician now living in Vancouver, Canada. He is the lead singer of the punk rock band Hypernova and is currently touring as a solo artist with his show ”Departure: The Story of My Life.” Raam talks about his experience with psychedelics and how they opened new doors of healing after his family was dealt a year of tragedy which continues to unfold. We go into the backstory briefly, but you can hear the detailed version on the Tangentially Speaking podcast. Raam's father, Professor Kavous Seyed-Emami, was a prominent Iranian environmentalist who was arrested and falsely accused of being a foreign spy. He died in prison under suspicious circumstances, now Raam and his brother continue to pressure the Iranian government for answers. Most importantly, King Raam’s real name is Ramin Seyed-Emami. Which makes this the first ever Ramin-on-Ramin episode of Rainbow Brainskull. What a great time to be a Ramin!
