The stated intention of sending Christ into the world as documented in John is to make the world safe and sound. This alludes to a solution oriented Kingdom, one that seeks to restore the journey of humanity to a benevolent God’s vision of safety and soundness. The work however of bringing about this safety is bestowed on humanity, specifically, a mature son, as demonstrated by the departing statement of Christ that He was sending us just as His Father sent Him.
