Pastor Tim Parlier continues our series in the Gospel of Luke.  We pick up in chapter 14 where Jesus is invited to a dinner party of elites.  He uses this opportunity to "put flesh on" what He taught in Luke 13 about the Kingdom of God.  After establishing what the Kingdom "is like" in Luke 13, Jesus will now begin to show us what that actually looks like in interpersonal relationships, i.e. a Kingdom Lifestyle.  The Kingdom Lifestyle runs contrary to the lifestyle we often desire for ourselves and we must decide if we believe that is a good thing or not?  Does Jesus have our best interest in mind?  Can we trust him?
