Organizations rarely abandon their mission in a single decision; they drift by inches. Using Harvard's founding charter to train ministers as a cautionary case, this message argues that churches and individuals lose their way the same slow way unless they keep the main thing the main thing. The text is Acts 18:24-28 and the example is Apollos, whose life displays ten marks worth adopting: he was on the go making disciples, eloquent yet humble, competent in Scripture, instructed in the Lord's ways, fervent in spirit, accurate in doctrine, bold in public, teachable enough to be corrected by Priscilla and Aquila, strengthened through fellowship, and committed to the Great Commission. Discipleship is defined as following Jesus, being transformed by him, and committing to his mission—a calling given to every believer, not only paid staff. The closing appeal asks whether listeners will take their faith beyond belief into shared mission.
