Photographer Ewen Bell was recently in the kingdom of Bhutan running another successful series of photography workshops. While there, he was troubled by two issues that are seriously afflicting Bhutan. One is some poor economic decisions taken following the COVID outbreak that saw a significant reduction in one tourism sector. But the other was a brain drain where about 10 per cent of the brightest citizens have left the Himalayan state to choose life in Perth, Western Australia.
