This initiative is designed to reduce fire hazards and enhance public safety by ensuring properties remain free of overgrown weeds and dry, dead or dormant vegetation, which can quickly become fuel for fires, especially as temperatures rise. To mitigate these risks, the City enforces Kingman Municipal Code 7-165 and the International Property Maintenance Code 302.4, which require property owners to keep weeds and plant growth below six inches.
