Kings Draft Their PG, End Trade Rumors
from NBA News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
The Sacramento Kings are finally locking down their franchise point guard by drafting their guy with the seventh pick in the NBA Draft, putting an end to trade rumors swirling around Ja Morant and Trae Young. After years of chasing vets like Schroder and Westbrook, they’re betting big on the draft—expected to select Darius Acuff Jr.—to build a long-term, youth-driven contender. This move signals patience, asset control, and a commitment to development over flashy trades, even as Morant’s availability and production have fallen short of his past All-Star form.
