Kings: Solomon had 900 Wives and 300 Concubines!?

Solomon was the wisest man who ever lived, and yet he ended his life in folly, and his actions (including taking 900 wives and 300 concubines) caused the disintegration of Israel. Where did it go wrong? How can we avoid Solomon’s fate?
