Today our lecture series on the history of the Keepers continues as we pick up with Virgil and Jacques receiving their official starter Pokémon, a Bulbasaur and a Charmander, and subsequently refusing to battle each other. Sometimes it is easy to forget that Pokémon battling was once not so common as it is today. But nevertheless, the young initiates remained a part of the organization and didn't just call it quits right there. Thank goodness. We now return to the scene at the Keeper Fortress, where they will have their first encounters with some of the other major figures in the early history of the Keepers. Will getting to know their teammates help the boys feel more at home? Or will they begin to doubt their decisions even more?
