When is it early enough to put on tzitzis with a berachah, and what should you do if you put them on before that time?In this episode of Kitzur Yomi, the Kitzur Shulchan Aruch teaches that the berachah on tzitzis is recited during the daytime, not at night. Preferably, one should wait until there is enough daylight to distinguish between blue and white before reciting the berachah.If you put on your tallis katan while it was still night, or before washing your hands when you could not yet recite the berachah, you do not make the berachah at that time.
