If there's one band who have had a gigantic year, it's got to be Toronto indie rock band Kiwi jr.! After releasing their third album Chopper in August 2022, the band have spent the last 18 months touring Europe and North America, opening for bands (and their personal heroes) like Pavement, Dinosaur jr., Sloan, Guided By Voices, and so many more. And now they drop by Kingston for a date at the Grad Club, Friday night, supported by Queen's student band Girldad. I spoke to singer and guitarist Jeremy this week for CFRC's Indie Wakeup Call (where you can find me on a Thursday morning on campus with some lovely cohosts), listen on to hear us talk all about that show and Kiwi jr.'s incredible year, and come to the show tomorrow!
