KiYKiYBlac Creating music that reflects who i am
from Adam · host Adam Webber
KiYKiYBlac shares his amazing story of what it was like growing up in Boston as a black gay kid that had to learn to defend himself with his sharp wits and intelligence. He refused to live feeling boxed in and found his voice as a rapper that spoke from his perspective — being gay, sexual, black and so much more. When he would preform on stage he realizes that he is different and speaking from the gay experience is still something that is not widely accepted in the "rap community” at large just yet. In this say KiYKiYBlac is pushing the boundaries and challenging the status quo. He finds so much inspiration in the positive feedback that he is getting and encouragement to keep blazing ahead form the fans that come up to him after shows and reach out to him online. One thing that leapt out at me was KiYKiYBlac's approach to focusing and not letting his fears stop him form achieving his dreams was his use of mediation techniques.
