I would love to introduce you to one of the newest rock-pop prodigies, Kjersti Long (pronounced, 'care-stee.') This 13-year-old singer-songwriter is about to show why she is going to leave her mark in the music industry. Her new single, “Not Your Princess,” is coming to fans, radio waves and streaming services, in multiple versions — Rock-Pop, Pop, Club Radio Mix, and an Extended Club Mix-so that fans will be able to get a version that speaks to them. At the age of nine 9 New York City native, Kjersti wrote her first original song, “Rollercoaster,” about struggles with anxiety and overcoming her own personal struggles. At age 11, she was headlining at the iconic rock club The Bitter End in NYC and now she is releasing her first single, “Not Your Princess.” Kjersti, is a gifted storyteller and a deep thinker. She has unusual ways of spinning the dialog to express feelings listenersof all ages can relate to. Fans who buy the record get three other versions. “Not Your Princess” speaks to listeners about choosing their own path and being who they want to be, despite being told they should fit into a certain stereotypical box. These empowering and thought-provoking lyrics are delivered by a powerhouse vocalist, and to hear them coming from such a young human artist is nothing less than incredible. Kjersti has had many musical inspirations along her way. Her second release will be (release date TBS) will be a cover of ‘The Beatles, "Eleanor Rigby." Her unique arrangement is perfect for current times. Kjersti has performed at the most iconic rock venues in the country, including The Apollo (NYC), The Velour (Utah), House of Blues (SD) and The Stone Pony (NJ), as well as selling out a standing-room-only headlining events at The Bitter End (NYC) and The Delancey (NYC). She has written and performed with Grammy-nominated and winning artists and recorded with Grammy-winning producers in New York and Nashville.Onstage and or in the studio, Kjersti Long works alongside the best in the industry.
