KLIM Dakar Rally Daily | 2024 Stage 8 | Episode 80

The 2024 Dakar Rally Stage 8 results are overshadowed completely by the tragic loss of Spanish competitor Carlos Falcon of the Twintrail Racing Team. Carlos passed away today after a large crash on stage two. He had been transferred to Spain after initially receiving treatment by on-site medical staff and staff at the hospital in Saudi Arabia. His condition was very serious from the onset of the accident and he unfortunately passed away today as the result.The Twintrail team is a group of passionate fans and enthusiasts and to see one of their own pass away is heartbreaking to us all in the Dakar fan/enthusiast community. And our heartfelt condolences are sent to his family and friends and the entire Twintrail team. RallyGP competition increased intensity today as Ross Branch and Ricky Brabec raced together for much of the day, jockeying for position as they enter critical race days ahead. We hear from the favorites and check in with the Malle Moto crew for some updates. Thank you!
