Know How Much You Use Screens and How They Affect Your Life

You may have heard of my 6 steps formula to beat phone addiction. If that's the case, you know that step 1 is Self-Awareness. Clarity is power. You need to know where you are now before heading to where you want to go. You need to be honest about your behavior and character, and what you want to change. This doesn't mean you will hate yourself or beat yourself up. Absolutely not! This simply means you know what you have to work on. Again, you will have gained this clarity. So to gain this clarity, you want to know how much and why you use screens. Aside from this, you want to evaluate how excessive screen use is affecting your life. How are your relationships affected? How is your self-actualization process affected? How is your health affected? If you have a spouse, you can exchange your feelings with each other. You can discuss how excessive social media and screen use is affecting your connection and unity. Then you can have an optimistic talk about how you DO want to see your relationship. Know where you are, and where you want to go.
