Knowing and Doing the Word of God

Suffering can make sin feel easier to excuse. James calls Christians to receive God’s word humbly, then act on it rather than resemble someone who leaves a mirror and forgets their own face. Obedience does not earn God’s acceptance; saving faith is His gracious gift. Yet living faith changes how people speak, care for widows and orphans, and resist the world’s stain.
