Knowledge changes your perspective; with Roger Brown

from Afrikanah · host Julie N. Tshidibu

For those of you who are new here, this is our third episode in English because we discuss the deeper things of life in this podcast and sometimes, for the very best of our thoughts to come to life, that requires the English language if that is your native tongue. I like to facilitate an authentic expression of those deeper things for my guests so you will find some of these Episodes in English every now and then. My guest today is Roger Brown who is originally from Jamaica but has been living in Germany for over 2 decades now.  Roger is an IT Solutions Manager, a health and fitness expert, an avid reader and as I see it, a teacher of our true African history.  From renewing his degree due to lack of recognition due to the German bureaucracy to other cultural obstacles one has to overcome in order to self actualize but also the opportunities of Germany and how to avail of them - we discuss all this and more. Roger reminds us of the tools in our hands that enable us to see things differently, if we make use of them. Knowledge of what we know and of the fact that we don't know creates openness to more. There is a lot to unpack in this conversation so, enjoy!
