Finding ways to integrate older and younger employees in a workforce is a pressing issue that’s confounding companies globally. Strategies to keep mature-age employees working longer have focused mainly on the need for flexible working conditions. But fast-thinking corporates are changing their approaches, with cross-generational initiatives – such as “reverse mentoring” where younger workers teach older colleagues new tricks – now gaining traction.
