KNX In Depth: LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva defends search of Supervisor Sheila Kuehl's home--Multivitamins and brain health--Hollywood and Queen Elizabeth--Iowa radio legend Pat Powers on 44 years at the same station

LA County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl goes on the offensive, slamming the search of her home by sheriff's investigators as a politically motivated act by the sheriff himself--Alex Villanueva--who's had several conflicts with the Board of Supervisors. A court affidavit shows the search is connected to non-competitive contracts awarded by Metro to a nonprofit organization run by a friend of Kuehl's. We go In Depth to sort this out with Sheriff Villanueva. Working from home, higher rent and sky high home prices are just some of the impacts the pandemic has had around the country. We look into the results of a big new survey. Russia and China are getting closer. Their two leaders met today with one criticizing the U.S. A new study finds a positive impact on brain health through a daily multivitamin. We go In Depth into what was found. Could the death of Queen Elizabeth lead to less interest from Hollywood and the American public in Britain's royal family? We end the show by talking to a radio legend most people here probably have never heard of--until now. He's been at the same radio station in the Midwest for 44 years. Pat Powers is a master story teller who will share what he's seen during that time in his home state of Iowa, the country and the world.  To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices.
