Kodak Admits Data Breach After ShinyHunters Hack Claims

from Security Stuff · host Trace3

Imaging and printing company Kodak has confirmed a data breach after the cybercrime group ShinyHunters claimed to have stolen over 2.2 million customer records and threatened to leak the data unless a ransom is paid by June 18th. While Kodak says the breach was limited in scope and has been contained with no ongoing threat to systems or operations, the company is working with cybersecurity experts and law enforcement to investigate. ShinyHunters has been highly active recently, notably targeting at least 100 organizations by exploiting a zero-day vulnerability in Oracle PeopleSoft.
