The Ghanaian born, former Secretary-General of the United Nations Kofi Annan passed away this past weekend, following a short illness at the age of 80. The diplomat and former Nobel Peace Laureate died in Switzerland on Saturday. He was a member of The Elders, a group started by former president, Nelson Mandela.
