Kohler Bear Returns to Utah for Final Season | BYU Cougars Basketball News

The Kohler Bear is back home—heading to BYU after a fifth-year eligibility twist lets him return to Utah for one final college run. Once a Michigan State standout averaging 12+ points and 9 rebounds, he nearly walked away from basketball after limited NBA Summer League minutes with the Jazz. But with new NCAA rules giving athletes five years to compete, Kohler seized his shot—and chose BYU over Kentucky, Kansas, and Louisville. His fiery style could ignite the Cougars’ tournament push, while Spartan fans will have to wait until March Madness for any showdown. This isn’t goodbye—it’s a homecoming with a roar.
