Kohler Returns to BYU After NBA Summer League | BYU Cougars Basketball News

Jaxon Kohler, Michigan State’s standout big man and NCAA Tournament hero, is returning home to BYU after an unexpected college eligibility reset — a move that turned him into one of the most sought-after recruits in the country. Once undrafted and playing NBA Summer League ball with Utah, Kohler’s path back to college basketball was anything but straight. Now, with his proven scoring and rebounding numbers and deep ties to Utah and the LDS Church, he’s choosing BYU — a perfect fit for both culture and need. This late-season coup gives BYU a major boost under coach Kevin Young while leaving Michigan State scrambling to adjust without their key player.
