Oh, no! Not another Twilight Zone show. How is this going to be any different than the 50 others? That's a fair question. I'll answer it here, but it will take a lot of time and work to provide a more adequate answer through the episodes themselves. My name is Joe Meyer. I'm a college instructor, and I've taught the Twilight Zone numerous times in the classroom over my career. What makes this show different from other Twilight Zone podcasts is that we'll be using Rod Serling's amazing show to satisfy three important requirements: 1) we need to have some fun. The show is meant to be enjoyed, and that's what we'll do. 2) We need to use The Twilight Zone as a catalyst for important philosophical about the human condition. 3) We need to find our moments of awe in the episode. Why awe? I explain that in the pilot. There is good research that shows that awe helps connect us with humanity and ourselves. The Twilight Zone is a fantastic show for talking about awe.
