In California’s top-two primary system, the two candidates with the most votes—regardless of party—move forward to the general election. That means every vote matters now, not just in November. Today on Conversation Piece… California Black Power Network (CBPN), Congregations Organized for Prophetic Engagement (COPE), and more Black organizations across California held the Black Ecosystem Gubernatorial Forum, on the anniversary of the LA Uprisings on April 29th. All of the California governor candidates were invited to address specific policy demands of California’s Black community.
