Aber auch in unseren Häusern und Büros spielt Wärme eine zentrale Rolle. Kraftblock hat ein neuartiges Speichersystem entwickelt: fast beliebig skalierbare, keine „seltenen Erden”, 80 Prozent recyceltes Material und der Speicher funktioniert wartungsfrei über Generationen. Mit der Technologie konnte das Unternehmen bereits namhafte Partner und Kunden gewinnen, sowie zuletzt den internationalen Lebensmittelkonzern PepsiCo. Chemiker und Kraftblock-Gründer Dr. Martin Schichtel erklärt im Gespräch, wie der Energiespeicher funktioniert und warum es so schwer ist, Innovationen im Markt zu etablieren.
