Det seneste halvandet års krige i Mellemøsten har været hårde for Iran. Hamas er under pres i Gaza, Hizbollah er svækket i Libanon, og Assad-styret er faldet i Syrien. Iran og Israels indbyrdes missilangreb på hinanden er heller ikke faldet ud til Irans fordel. Israel er lykkedes med at ramme mål i Iran, mens iranerne til gengæld har haft svært ved at trænge igennem det israelske luftforsvar. Senest har valget af Donald Trump som USA’s præsident indvarslet et intensiveret pres på præstestyret i Teheran.  Men hvor pressede er iranerne reelt, og hvilke handlemuligheder har de? Hvordan ser det ud med den indenrigspolitiske stabilitet? Hvor stærkt er samarbejdet med Rusland, og kan støtten til Ruslands krig i Ukraine fortsætte, når Iran er under pres fra så mange kanter?  Det er nogle af de ting, vi dykker vi ned i sammen med lektor Rasmus Elling fra Københavns Universitet.
