Kristen Sverchek - GC at Lyft

Today the job of General Counsel at Lyft might seem straightforward like other public company GC roles.  But when Kristin Sverchek took the gig it was anything but typical. Ride sharing was not ubiquitous in fact it was questionable, even if it had a bright future.  And, Uber had staked a big market position.  The legal issues surrounding Lyft were and are novel and complex.  And we’re not even talking about the data privacy challenges which are many. No Kristin isn’t a “maniac” or “animal” or some combination thereof.  But, she is a multi-faceted, thoughtful GC who can play many different roles - like the characters of a variety show.  Lyft as a company is always presenting new, unique challenges (variety) - Kristin likes it that way.
