Kshama Sawant Takes Down the Tim Walz Fantasy Love-Fest

from On Strike! · host On Strike!

In what is shaping up to be THE most vacuous U.S. Presidential campaign in our lifetimes, Kamala Harris and now her Vice Presidential pick Tim Walz are running as living cardboard cutouts–with no clear positions on things like the $15 minimum wage, Medicare for All, free college education or ANY of the other demands that dominated the past two presidential cycles because of the Bernie Sanders primary campaigns. WATCH On Strike’s Kshama Sawant respond to Harris’ VP pick and TAKE DOWN the Tim Walz fantasy that has dominated the corporate press and many corners of social media. And REGISTER to join Kshama Sawant, left independent antiwar Presidential candidate Jill Stein, and Revolutionary Blackout Network co-founder Nick Cruse on AUGUST 20 – either in Chicago or via livestream – for Workers Strike Back’s rally at the Democratic National Convention. Help us build the biggest possible protests to demand an end to the genocidal war on Gaza and an end to US military funding of the Israeli war machine! Register now for the rally or livestream: https://www.workersstrikeback.org/eve... The fawning over the Harris campaign reached an exponentially more painful level in response to Harris announcing Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate. U.S. imperialist interests, the billionaire class, and their political standard bearers like Nancy Pelosi, would not in a million years stand for any ticket with even a shadow of doubt about their unshakeable loyalty. Wall Street and AIPAC and the rest of the political establishment know that Harris, if elected, would one-hundred-percent drive forward the warmongering and anti-worker agenda of U.S. capitalism, and Walz would too. Watch Kshama break down Walz’s concrete record as Governor of Minnesota since 2018, explain why he is no friend of working people, and discuss what is needed to build a new party that can fight for what workers need.
