Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) liked this; he did not forbid it. - Regardless of whether or not celebrating the birthday of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is part of the religion, would you not want to celebrate it because of your personal relationship with the Prophet (PBUH)?
