KYD 041 - Overboard
Continuing our nautical theme with a Kurt Russell twist, this week we watch Chrysten's pick, Overboard! Starring real life #relationshipgoals couple Kurt Russell (hubba hubba!) and Goldie Hawn (hubba hubba!), the story centers on struggling carpenter and father of four, Dean Proffitt. When he takes a job building a shoe closet for snobby and insufferable yacht owner, Joanna Stayton, she insults him and ultimately stiffs him on his payment. When Joanna accidentally falls off the aforementioned yacht, she suffers amnesia. Dean, looking to seek revenge on his abusive former client, picks her up and convinces her they are married and turns her into the lower middle class housewife she always abhorred! Dean only intends for the ruse to continue for a month, but when he and Joanna unexpectedly fall in love, things get tricky! OK, ok, listen...we realize what this premise sounds like.
