Kyoto Buddhist Chanting - Rain Soundscape

This soundscape was captured on a rainy autumn morning in Kyoto's temple district. The monks were chanting their morning prayers in an open temple as the rain poured relentlessly down on all sides. The normally busy temple grounds were deserted, allowing for a pure experience that probably could have been had in the same way just about any rainy morning in Japan for the last few thousands years.
