In 2014, Jessica & Nathan got married. While on their honeymoon, Jessica started experiencing some pain in her right hip. Unbeknownst to either of them, this was the start of a long journey and battle with Sarcoma; a rare form of cancer that occurs in the bones & soft tissues. As Jessica turned 30, she and Nathan were faced with the decision to amputate her right leg, in order to prevent the cancer from spreading throughout the rest of her body. Following the surgery, Jessica went through 17 rounds of chemotherapy over the next 14 months. Today Jessica is cancer free! Through the storm, God was faithful & the Douglas' have new additions to their family as well! Their son William and another on the way!
