Born and raised in Colorado, LR Braden makes her home in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains with her wonderful husband, precocious daughter, and psychotic cat. She is the bestselling author of The Magicsmith urban fantasy series. Her first book, "A Drop of Magic," won the 2020 Eric Hoffer Award for Sci-Fi/Fantasy, the First Horizon Award for debut authors, and the Imadjinn Award for Best Urban Fantasy. With degrees in both English literature and metalsmithing, she splits her time between writing and art.
