Ha trabajado como periodista en medios radiales, escritos y televisivos regionales, nacionales e internacionales, así como en procesos de comunicación organizacional en diversas organizaciones públicas y privadas en Colombia y España. Ha sido guionista e investigador de crónicas y documentales para el canal de televisión regional Telecaribe. De igual forma, cuenta con experiencia en procesos de gestión cultural, divulgación y comunicación científica, investigación académica y docencia universitaria. En esta disertación, se busca entender las dinámicas, preocupaciones e intereses de una sociedad, la samaria, al inicio de uno de los conflictos bélicos más cruentos de la historia reciente: la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Para ello, se analiza uno de los periódicos más representativos de la ciudad, El Estado, en un periodo temporal específico, a finales de 1939, y se establece cómo se produce la convivencia entre los asuntos de la 'Gran Guerra' y los problemas, asuntos o curiosidades de ciudad. Una pugnacidad de discursos que tratan de hacerse sentir en el campo de batalla de los imaginarios: la primera página del diario de referencia en una ciudad del Caribe Colombiano.
