On today's Countdown 2024: Nathan Hochman dispatched with George Gascon rather easily three weeks ago, on his way to winning the Los Angeles County District Attorney's race ... as voters here showed their strong preference for a more strictly law-and-order approach for the county's chief prosecutor. But now comes the hard part for the District Attorney-elect: delivering on his promises to bring down crime and make people feel safer as he oversees the biggest DA's office in the country.
