La Crosse state Rep. Billings on school cellphone "ban," governor's race and new legislation she's unveiling

from WIZM - La Crosse Talk Interviews · host WIZM News Staff

Wisconsin state Assembly Rep. Jill Billings (D-La Crosse) in studio, discussing a statewide cellphone ban in schools, the ongoing governor’s race and some legislation she has dealing with ticket sales — like to Taylor Swift concerts — and higher education. The first thing we talked about was whether Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers will sign a bill that’s passed the legislature to impose limits on cellphones in schools and how Billings feels about the issue. We then got into the governor’s race, Josh Kaul deciding not to run, while Missy Hughes entered for Democrats. Billings also has multiple pieces of legislation out there including one called the Swifty act to protect consumers on ticket sales. She also discussed some college affordability bills that were unveiled the week prior. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
