LA Just Erased 12 No-Camping Zones

Hour 2 (8.19) The City Council pulls a dozen anti-camping zones off the map in Hollywood, Silver Lake and Echo Park; Conway runs through the racing firsts that all started at one Tijuana track, and a big upset out of Florida. The council voted 10-3 to remove 12 designated enforcement zones under the city's 41.18 anti-camping law — supporters say it lets the city focus on outreach and housing; opponents warn about public safety and quality of life. All 12 sit in Council District 13, represented by Hugo Soto-Martínez, who said he'd never heard of a 41.18 zone being removed before. Crozier weighs in with his own housing history — he slept on a branch in a tree when he first got to L.A.
