42: La Llorona’s Drag: The San Antonio River’s Unsettling Embrace

La Llorona's Drag: The San Antonio River's Unsettling Embrace San Antonio, Texas, a city renowned for its vibrant River Walk and deep historical roots, holds a terrifying secret in the shadows beneath its charming bridges. In the summer of 1998, the disappearance and subsequent discovery of eight-year-old Mateo Rodriguez sent a ripple of dread through the community, turning a familiar urban legend into chilling reality. Mateo's small body was found drowned beneath an old bridge, bearing grotesque evidence of his final moments: clear drag marks across his back and, most horrifyingly, both of his shoulders dislocated—injuries consistent with immense, unnatural force. As if to seal the nightmare, the underside of the very bridge where he was found was plastered with hundreds of eerie handprints, all seemingly reaching and pointing in the same, ominous direction. For the deeply superstitious locals, there was only one explanation: La Llorona, the weeping woman of folklore, had claimed another victim, dragging him to his watery grave. To this day, the police remain without answers, and the prints under the bridge serve as a silent, terrifying testament to the chilling truth that some legends are not just stories, but ancient, predatory warnings. Join Raven Vale as she delves into "La Llorona's Drag," a case that haunts the heart of Texas, where the river's whispers carry a sorrowful, deadly tune. #SanAntonioTexas #LaLlorona #UnsolvedMystery #ChildDrowning #UrbanLegend #Paranormal #TrueCrime #DislocatedShoulders #HandprintsUnderBridge #RiverHaunting #HispanicFolklore #ChillingTales #WhispersFromTheDark #RavenVale www.whispersfromthedarkpodcast.com See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.This has been a Fuzzy LIfe Production
