LA PAELLA

from ssl4you Learn Spanish · host teresa sanchez

Paella. ¿Alguna vez has probado la paella? Paella. Have you ever tasted a paella? If you have ever been to Spain you have probably eaten one of the different Spanish paellas we prepare here. Although the place of origin of this famous dish is Valencia, each region has its own paella. You can prepare it using fish or meat. The only indispensable ingredient is “rice”. But the paella is more than a dish it’s a tradition, people eat it on Sundays, to celebrate birthdays, family meetings, when you go to the countryside to spend a day and especially in summer time. We take the old paellera (a round flat pan) out of the garage and prepare a paella in the garden, something similar to what American people do with barbecues.
